I guess global warming decided that 32* Celsius and a endless blue sky was something I deserved after my crazy revision time in Edinburgh, and served Norway with some amazing weather. I feel like a new person after my little trip home to Norway, where I’ve been fed, slept in my incredible soft bed and spent the days doing nothing work related at all, just relaxing and taking photos and spending time with my family. Going back to Edinburgh tonight, and will stay there for almost a month now! Hoping to get time for plenty of photographing! 😀

So long since last time! I have been incredibly busy with all my exams, and the last month’s been a non stop revision month where I’ve literally spent 14 hours at the library, and only been home to sleep and shower. The only break I had was my trip to London to see Kaizers Orchestra, something I’ve been looking forward to since I bought the tickets in December!
Feels like such a long time ago already, but it was an amazing trip, and I had a great time with great friends! Even got to meet some of the band members of Kaizers Orchestra, which explains my super stoked happy face on the last picture, haha. I’m such a kid.
I’m currently back in Norway for a little break before going back to Edinburgh til mid June. So happy to be done with my exams, I can finally relax a bit and enjoy the amazing weather Edinburgh got to offer. Can promise more posts from now on (:

The last part from the 3-day trip around Scotland!
Autumn is here in all its amazing colors, I love it! Nothing can beat that special smell of autumn air when walking in the woods taking pictures of the leaves in their fall-colors. This trip was so amazing, I’m really glad I got the opportunity for me and my sunshine to experience this trip almost completely for free!

Oh, wow, I really took way to many photos on this trip! Have to make a part I and II from the last day, so it doesn’t seem like so much. It’s not that easy to limit yourself when there is so much beautiful stuff to photograph!
The last day of the trip was finally here, and we still had the best weather we could possible wish for! Went looking for Nessie in Loch Ness without any luck, bought a lot of sweets and went to the place where the battle of Culloden found place in 1746. If you want, you can read more about this battle here. It made a strong impression on us.
The rest of the day will be posted in another post later this week!

“NORWAAAAAAY!”
Day two! The liquid sunshine disappeared and left us with some real sun and nice temperatures. We left the hostel and Loch Ness early in the morning, heading for the Isle of Skye! We were told that Skye most likely would be a rather cold and misty experience, but to our big surprise (and the guide who couldn’t stop saying “oh my god, a very, very nice day indeed”) instead of fog and cold we were met with sunshine and warmth! Hurray!
We stopped in a tiny town for lunch, and me and my sunshine went on our own walk discovering this old tower of some sort with the most amazing view. A perfect place to act like the Vikings we are and scream “Norwaaay”!

Finally, the weekend was here! This trip was amazing in so many ways. Can’t believe I won this!
We depatured from Edinburgh at 08.30 in the morning with the Haggis-bus with 27 other people and our own guide for the trip named “Paddy”. He called the rainy weather for liquid sunshine and wanted us to scream “AYE” as pirates when he called our name. Funny guy.
The first day was a lot of driving, but also a lot of stops at different places to take some photos. I must say, what a pretty country this is. The nature was just amazing, even with all the rain and fog!
We stopped at the Commando Memorial Area of remembrance, which made a really strong impression. Young men in their twenties, same age as myself, who died fighting in Afghanistan,. Some of the memorials were dated the 80’s, while some others were as new as 2012…
After driving the whole day with plenty of amazing stops, we finally arrived at Inverness and Loch Ness where we stayed at a hostel for the first night.
Part two coming up!

This Saturday I went to Leith to finally fulfill my promise: drink my first Guinness while wearing the weird, orange earring I got as a gift earlier this summer.
My sunshine and I got on a bus which 30 min later dropped us off in Leith, a surprisingly short trip with a lot of beautiful buildings to capture with my camera on the way. We still look like tourists whenever we go outside, looking more up pointing at all the buildings than checking if we walk on red lights. It’s a miracle that we haven’t been hit by a car yet.
Have to say, the Guinness tastes just as bad as every other beer I’ve ever tasted. I survived long enough to get a picture taken before I gave the beer away to my sunshine while enjoying some red wine myself. All in all a great day.

So, during freshers week we had something called “moosa dollars”, which pretty much is fake dollar bills with a picutre of a moose on them. A bunch of people had them, and you had to do something funny/weird/extraordinary for them to give you one. So during freshers week you had a chance every day to collect as many as you could, and then at the end of freshers week there would be an auction where you could bid on different things with these fake money.
At first I was kinda “neh” on the whole “collecting fake paper money”-idea, so I only had five of them. But then when I found out about all the cool stuff you could bid on, I just went “crazy norwegian”-style and tracked down as many people with moosa dollars that I could find. My best move was to sing. In norwegian. As bad as I could. The song? Itsy Bitsy Spider.
After about an hour of bad singing and a bunch of people laughing at me, Ì had over 60 moosa dollars.
This is what I won:
I’m so happy! A free trip where I can bring my sunshine and explore so much of Scotland…for free! 😀
I also won a free haircut for both me and my sunshine, and a free meal for two including red or white wine. Yay!

The first picture from Edinburgh. From the hotel we stayed in the first night.
The reception at Pollock Halls, where I live. And Arthurs Seat (the mountain) in the back!
One of the buildings at our campus.
Found these awesome duck-socks at Primark, and convinced my sunshine to buy them. They are so cute!
From Pollock Halls were I live, and to my sunshine, there is a 20 min walk through this beautiful park. Just love having him so close, it makes everything so much easier.
Everything is so great here! I love it! There hasn’t been that much time to sit on the computer, and even less time to go out and take pictures, but after this week things will calm down a bit! I can promise a bunch of amazing pictures in the near future. Almost all the buildings in Edinburgh looks like they could have been in one of the Harry Potter movies. I love that.
I will be posting some more pictures from my photoshoots earlier this summer just so the wait between posts won’t be too long.
