Dug up some photos from my summer in Risør! Can’t believe it’s almost half a year since June was here, feels like just a month ago! I’m just gonna stop promising to frequently post photos here, cause lets face it,  it’s not gonna happen. But I’ll try to be a bit better than what I’ve been so far (was that a promise? lalala).

Exams are coming up, so not much of an exiting life to brag about.  I do still have a lot of photos left from my summer in Norway which I haven’t shown you guys yet, so there’s hope for future post  (:

I rarely work with black & white photos, but thought these photos turned out great! They were taken this summer when I was working with Sunniva on a project that will still have to be kept hidden (at least for a little longer) before I can share the photos with you guys!

April summed up in small squares

5x3 insta for april and may 5x3 insta for april and may2

I didn’t have time to take a lot of photos with my camera in April, since I spent almost every day at the library, but I did get a new phone and took a bunch of photos with that one! If you’d like to follow me on Instagram, click here or search for marie_viking!

The Guinness brewery was such a cool experience, even for someone like me who doesn’t even  like beer. Since the weather kept being rather cold and grey, a day in the brewery was just perfect! I would totally recommend everyone visiting Dublin to use half a day (or maybe even a whole one, depending on how many free tastings you get!) in the brewery.

I’m going to start watermarking my photos now, since there’s been a couple of episodes now where people use my photos without asking and/or crediting, which I find pretty annoying. Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy the photos even with the watermark, although I find it hard to focus on anything but the writing on the photos now!

Still got a lot of photos from Dublin, so there will still be several posts from that trip, hope people still find it interesting!

A trip to Leith for a pint of Guinness

This Saturday I went to Leith to finally fulfill my promise: drink my first Guinness while wearing the weird, orange earring I got as a gift earlier this summer.

My sunshine and I got on a bus which 30 min later dropped us off in Leith, a surprisingly short trip with a lot of beautiful buildings to capture with my camera on the way. We still look like tourists whenever we go outside, looking more up pointing at all the buildings than checking if we walk on red lights. It’s a miracle that we haven’t been hit by a car yet.

Have to say, the Guinness tastes just as bad as every other beer I’ve ever tasted. I survived long enough to get a picture taken before I gave the beer away to my sunshine while enjoying some red wine myself. All in all a great day.

The Sea and the Rhythm

Got inspired by Lill’s blog post and took some flower power pictures. You should visit her blog, it’s amazing!

Noticed the lighting on the pictures of Sunniva on my last post got really bright when I uploaded them. Not sure what happened, they look different on my pc screen, where the lightning is perfect, but somehow they look overexposed when I posted them… Weird.

So my dad is turning 5o this weekend, and I got the job to make some play lists for the evening. Can’t really say I have any clue what kind of music to play at a family gathering where everyone but me and my sister is older than 40 years.
If anyone got some ideas, let me know!

Only a little over a week before I leave, should probably start packing now. My room is a mess, clothes everywhere, almost like a walk in closet except the clothes are on the floor, not on hangers.

A new shoot with Sunniva. Part one

The first pictures from me and Sunniva‘s new shoot taken a little while back. Just got back from a weekend in Oslo, visiting some of my friends before leaving for Scotland! Only a week and a half left now, can’t wait to finally be on my way!

My furry love

Oh, how I miss this cat. This amazing, fat and ridiculously weird cat. A cat who loved sleeping in boxes, or on her back, being so fat that she worked as her own pillow. She lived with me, my friend and my sunshine for about two months in Bergen, as a project cat from the Animal Protection Bergen. After two months a nice family adopted her, and now she’s living life like a queen.

I’m back in Bergen at this moment, visiting people before I leave!

A splendid time is guaranteed for all

Okay! I’ll try this one more time, and this time I promise some more enthusiasm from my side.
Went ahead and bought myself a domain: mariephoto.net

This blog will mainly be a photo-blog, but will contain updates when I finally start my studies in Scotland.

My biggest fear is that noone will bother reading/following this, so I’m going to spam the shit out of this blog on facebook/twitter etc.

Enjoy!
