Winter is coming

(Press tiny pics to get full view)

Some pictures of Sunniva taken the day before new years eve in ’10.
A day when the temperatures were freezing, but the light was just perfect.

It is finally December and frost on the ground in the morning. I love it!

Soft surrender

Over 100 followers now.

I cannot believe that so many people would find my photos interesting enough to follow me. Have to admit, it makes me a bit emotional. Thank you so much to everyone who is following me, and hello and welcome to new followers!

Light

It keeps getting colder and colder here now, but still no snow. Have to admit that I kind of miss the frosty November in Norway more than I thought I would. Edinburgh is still in autumn-mode and serves us rain with a hint of more rain every other day or so.

I miss my family and my friends now, miss having people around me that knows me and that can give me a big hug when needed. Can’t wait to get home for Christmas and see everyone again! But, don’t get me wrong, I love it here as well! The exams are just a month away, which gives me a mini heart attack every time I think about it, but I have realistic goals for the first semester: pass the exams.

I’m hoping for some sun and fresh autumn air tomorrow, so that I can go on a long walk with my camera. Really feel like the creative-nature loving side of me is being totally overrun by the try-to-understand-everything-at-school-me. Time to find a balance that works better, I think.

Aurora – Last Breeze of Summer

The last bunch of photos taken this summer, thought it was about time to share them.

There is so much to do these days! School is hard, but I really, really enjoy it here. It is so nice to be able to make my own food whenever I want, and to sleep in a big, soft bed. I got the best flat mates I could ever wish for as well, so life is great!

I’m leaving with my sunshine this friday, for our three day-adventure with haggis adventure, the trip I wrote about here. Can’t wait! A whole weekend away from school work, with my sunshine and with so many opportunities to take some amazing photos! I really hope we get some sunny days, even though the weather forecast says it’s going to rain… But fingers crossed!

Aurora. Part two. In the flesh

Another part from the shoot with Aurora. This was such a fun and impulsive shoot, which seems to be the perfect way for us to take cool pictures. It’s always the impulsive shoots that turn out the best. And hey, don’t you just love her tattoos!

I will be moving to Edinburgh in just four days, which right now feels so unreal. Have to start that packing process soon, but I’m a bit confused about what to pack! What on earth should I pack when moving to another country? I tried to make a list, and so far it looks like this:

* Toothbrush

* Rain clothes

* Wool socks

* Camera and computer

What more do I need?

The Sea and the Rhythm

Got inspired by Lill’s blog post and took some flower power pictures. You should visit her blog, it’s amazing!

Noticed the lighting on the pictures of Sunniva on my last post got really bright when I uploaded them. Not sure what happened, they look different on my pc screen, where the lightning is perfect, but somehow they look overexposed when I posted them… Weird.

So my dad is turning 5o this weekend, and I got the job to make some play lists for the evening. Can’t really say I have any clue what kind of music to play at a family gathering where everyone but me and my sister is older than 40 years.
If anyone got some ideas, let me know!

Only a little over a week before I leave, should probably start packing now. My room is a mess, clothes everywhere, almost like a walk in closet except the clothes are on the floor, not on hangers.

New shoot with Aurora. Part one

Finally!

Since my dear friend Aurora had gotten several new tattoos this year, some really big (as the one you can see on the back), and some smaller, we both agreed that it was time for a new shoot this summer. Really wantet the focus to be on her amazing tattoos on these pictures. Feedback is as always really appreciated!

Still living life in Bergen, visiting some of my friends and saying goodbye to all of them before leaving to go study in Edinburgh!

There will be more post in the near future with a bunch of pictures, so if you like what you’ve seen so far, hit the follow button!

Looking back – Sunniva in 08′

I can not believe this shoot with my friend Sunniva is already four years old! This is the first shoot I ever did, and looking back, comparing with my later shoots, this looks very amateur ish (the photos, lighting and editing). It’s fun to look back at these photos, they make me feel like I have some kind of progress in my work. Hoping to get that shoot with Sunniva done this week, before traveling to Bergen for a little while.
